As a part of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., we elect men and women from our active membership and ordain them to leadership roles and responsibilities in our church. Ordination is the act by which the church sets apart persons to be presbyters (ministers of the Word and Sacrament), elders, or deacons.

The Book of Order, a part of our PCUSA Constitution, outlines the offices of elder and deacon. Elected by the congregation, each elder and deacon serves a three year rotating term, beginning in January. The number of elders and deacons is determined by the size of our congregation.

The leadership positions of SAPC consist of Elder, Deacon, and Trustee. Learn more through our Nominating Committee.
