Love in Action (previously, the 30-hour Famine) Love in Action is a full-day experience where students learn about hunger, serve locally, and partner with organizations creating real change in Tucson and around the world.

When Is Love in Action?  February 14 2026, 8:00 am – 9:30 pm

What Is Love in Action?

• Students will participate in a 30-hour fast while learning about hunger, completing a Rise Against Hunger meal-packing experience, and serving throughout the Tucson community alongside trusted partners.
• This event helps students move from learning about need to living out their faith through action.

Fasting & Inclusivity

• Students are encouraged to fast from food for the full 30 hours; however, Love in Action is an inclusive experience.
• If fasting for the full time is not realistic for your student, please don’t let that stop them from participating. Contact Tim, and accommodations will be made.
• Juice will be available throughout the event.

What to Bring

Each student should bring:

• 2 large bottles of juice to share
• 2 pairs of new socks or underwear for donation
• Please wear closed-toed shoes so we are prepared for our service opportunities.

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for some parent volunteers or willing hands who are interested in serving this day during our projects. If you are interested in volunteering, sign up below or talk to Tim, and he will find you a spot!
