Weddings at St. Andrew's

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church of Tucson is pleased that you wish to have your marriage ceremony performed at our church. It is the aim of our church to help you plan a Christian service in keeping with the Presbyterian discipline and tradition.

A Christian wedding in the church is different from a wedding in any other place. In choosing the church as the setting for your wedding you are affirming that you wish your marriage to have a religious significance.

In this setting appropriate customs, music, and traditions can enhance the ceremony. Other innovations can further enliven and support that purpose. We want to assist you in planning a wedding that has personal meaning for you, and celebrates the depth and mystery of the Christian understanding of marriage.

The mission statement of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church is To know God and make God known through lives transformed by Christ. To fulfill this purpose, we want to be involved with couples who seek to establish a Christian home. While a couple does not need to be church members in order to be married at St. Andrew’s, both should have a sincere desire to serve God and a genuine openness to the possibility of uniting with a Christian church at some appropriate future time as part of their growth as a Christian couple.
