Encountering Jesus/ John 2:1-11& 4:43-54
Rev. Dr. Jim Toole
We have just looked at Jesus through the Old Testament. Now we are going to look at personal encounters with Jesus from the Gospel of John. This series is based on the book “In the Beginning there was the Verb”, written by our very own Presbytery Pastor Brad Munroe. This will be a unique series, where each week I will act as the narrator to give some of the context and then some brave volunteer will be in character.
Today we are going to look at the character, the Roman Official who you find in John 4:43-54. But the story starts all the way back in John.
Jesus has power.
Jesus is about something new.
Jesus brings life.
Jesus brings peace.
Jesus is about making us whole.
Jesus is the Word that became Flesh.
God is not just in the business of healing. God is in the business of restoration. God wants to bring you peace, shalom, wholeness and restoration. New Life!
What would it look like for you to trust Him more?
What would it look like for you to move from observing to trusting?
