WE ARE GOD'S MASTERPIECE

I have always loved the image of God as the potter and we as the clay. We are God’s original masterpiece, where God’s shaping power takes our humanity, brokenness and idiosyncrasies like lumpy messy clay and makes us beautiful and new.

Theme: The good news of Easter is that God makes all things New. Through Jesus death and resurrection God not only restores the whole world but God also restores you and me.

Jesus reveals a God who comes after us, who is on the prowl, chasing down his world for reconciliation. And the question we’re left with is not whether we’ve been good enough, jumped high enough, or sought hard enough…

The question is: “Do we want to be found?”

Jesus on the cross paid for our sins once and for all and declared it finished. But it is in the resurrection that God tells us that he is not finished with us! It is in the resurrection that God tells us that he really loves us!

Jeremiah 18:4 The vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as seemed good to him. This is the resurrection. This is Easter

2 Corinthians 5:17- So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! This is the resurrection. This is Easter

Jesus is inviting all of us to follow him. No matter if you have never been a person of faith or you have had faith your whole life, let God start restoring your life. Open yourself to God’s creative life shaping grace. All you have to do is say Yes to a God who is saying Yes to you!
