PASTOR MICHAEL SIMPSON
Michael Simpson has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a double major in Pastoral Care and Theology. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling, with a Community Counseling specialization, from the University of Phoenix in Tucson, Arizona. He is an ordained minister in the Church of God and has served in ministry since 1987. He is a National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors and a Licensed Associate Counselor in the State of Arizona. Michael completed training at the College of Executive Coaching and passed the national exam to obtain the credential of Board Certified Coach from the National Center for Credentialing and Education. This allows Michael to add life coaching skills to his pastoral and counseling skills. Michael has served in pastoral ministry for nearly 30 years serving in 2 churches. For the last 10 years Michael has served as Senior Pastor at the First Church of God in Tucson, Arizona. This is his second tenure as a minister in that congregation. Michael is married to Darlene (36 years), with 4 sons, one daughter-in-law, and one very, very wonderful little granddaughter. Michael is bi-vocational and works full-time as a Family Therapist at Sierra Tucson, a residential treatment facility for addiction and mental disorders.
